Kits2Remember rubber stamps have been designed to look stunning on non-porous surfaces
like acrylic and metal, while still creating beautiful images for more traditional stamping on paper
and cardstock. They are cling-mounted, ready to be attached to an acrylic block or panel.
Here are some helpful hints for using your K2R rubber stamps:
If this is the first time you have used your stamp:
1) Remove the stamp from the packaging.
2) Peel the while waxy paper from the cling mount of the stamp and discard. Your stamp is now
ready to attach to an acrylic block or panel.
3) Center your stamp on the acrylic block or panel and press. This is a temporary bond and you
can remove the stamp by carefully peeling up one end of the rubber stamp and pulling the entire
stamp off gently.
4) Ink your stamp, making sure your coverage is even across the stamp. It is often easiest to lay
your stamp on the table face up, and ink the image from above. If you are stamping on a
non-porous surface, you want to have an even coverage, but not an excess of ink. This will cause
the image to slip or bleed. This may take some practice.
5) Before stamping on your project, condition the stamp by stamping several times on scrap
paper.
Stamping suggestions:
1) When stamping on non-porous surfaces (acrylic, transparencies, metal, etc.) use a permanent,
solvent ink, such as StazOn. Inks that are not permanent will just wipe right off the surface.
2) If you have a choice, rubber stamps are easier to work with on non-porous surfaces than clear
stamps. Clear stamps are plastic, a non-porous surface, so when liquid like ink gets between two
non-porous surfaces, the stamp can easily slip. Rubber is a natural product and had a little bit of
absorbency to it, so rubber stamps are less likely to slip. If you are in love with your clear stamps,
you're not alone. You can prime them for use on non-porous surfaces by taking a pencil eraser
and running the eraser on the actual stamp image before you ink the stamp. This will take off any
leftover manufacturing residue, as well as adding a very fine layer of slightly absorbent rubber on
the surface of the image.
3) You may get a cleaner, crisper image if you stamp on a padded surface.
4) When stamping, be sure to apply even pressure across the entire stamp image. Do this
carefully to avoid slipping, smearing and smudging.
5) You can store your K2R stamp in the package bag, or on the back of a plastic card or page.
There are many ways to store cling mount stamps and everyone seems to have their individual
favorite method.
6) When using StazOn ink, you can clean your stamps with StazOn ink remover, which comes in a
small, felt-tipped bottle and works very well without damaging your stamps.

sure the side with the thinner "U"s is facing the Zutter logo on the top of the machine.
